A simplistic MOBA experiance
Vineout is a top-down 2D MOBA (2v2 or 3v3) where you play as vine saplings. The goal of the game is to eliminate all enemy players in the arena in a best-of-5 series. Players can move their characters, grapple onto walls to maneuver or onto players to eliminate them, or strengthen their defenses to momentarily turn into a tree that acts as a wall. Gameplay involves outmaneuvering, aiming, and outwitting your enemies by taking advantage of shaded areas in the arena where players won’t have vision until they enter to eliminate each other. I worked on this with a partner who took care of the coding and development side of the project. The gifs below is the real time gameplay of six different instances to simulate six different players playing the game at the same time.
